Welcome to the American Democracy Educator’s Forum for 2017-2018!  This year, our theme is “separation of powers.”  Our August on-campus gathering will draw on the history of political thought to explore the historical and theoretical background to thinking about the separation of powers in the United States.  During the year, we’ll spend time on each of the three branches of government, thinking about how in their design and in practice they reflect this thinking.  We’ll be drawing on primary source readings and on the National Constitution Center’s online Interactive Constitution.
