Day 21: Energy Flows are Linked to Chemical Change
In the previous day, we discussed ways to make qualitative and quantitative predictions about how a system’s composition evolves toward equilibrium, but they do not tell us anything about why the change occurs. For that, we need to dive back into energy, which can give us insight into two things regarding a reaction: (1) directionality and (2) rate.
