13 Create Your Own Design Thinking Challenge

Objective

As a team, create a hands-on design thinking challenge that takes no more than 45 minutes to implement. Your challenge must involve physical or drawn prototypes and tackle a real-world problem.

Guidelines

  1. Follow the Design Thinking Process
  2. Keep it visual
  3. Be original
  4. Make it conversational
  5. Keep it simple
  6. Make it quick
  7. Share your findings

Deliverables

  1. Provide the class with an outline of the challenge
  2. Implement the design thinking challenge using a google doc presentation with slides that the teams can add to
  3. Document the process
  4. Get feedback from the classmates
  5. Make adjustments to your challenge based on feedback (timing, topic, process…)
  6. Create a facilitator worksheet of the challenge which others can use
  7. Create a visually compelling digital document with all of the above and submit on line within four days of completion

This project is worth 30 points.
