English 100 Core Beliefs

These four statements can be used as touchstones for your teaching in the English 100 Program. You might consider how these beliefs connect to your own approach to teaching writing and use one or more of them to help you customize an introduction to your syllabus.

We consider our statement of core beliefs to be a living document, open to additions, revisions, and rewriting, but constant in a commitment to support the development of writing, individually and collaboratively, within our dynamic community of instructors and student writers.
