Example 1
In this example, the instructor uses an Open Educational Resource (OER) from an online textile gallery to provide content about the concept of symmetry in textile design. Students read the website to acquire an understanding of basic terminology and to study examples of different symmetries and patterns. In a follow-up discusson forum students work in small groups to respond to specific questions from the instructor. Each group submits their final answers to the course dropbox as a Word doc. The instructor then comments on each submission and provides feedback.
