Lawns Toolkit for Success

Helpful Hints

  • There are people who love their lawn. Other people hate it. Which are you? Use this module to suit your needs or share your knowledge with friends and family that might need help in growing better lawn.
  • If you are interested in becoming a Master Gardener, you will be tested on the fundamentals of this module (hint: use the Notes pages to help you!).
  • As with other plants, lawns (aka turfgrass) also benefit from proper selection and care. Many turf problems can be avoided through proper cultural practices such as mowing, watering and fertilizing.
  • There is a Q & A with an Expert webinar on Monday, December 6, 12:00-1:00 p.m. with UW-Madison turfgrass specialist Paul Koch. Remember to check the Q & A with the Experts module to get your connection link and submit your questions!
