24 Getting Research to Students

Students currently do not have access to research databases. For the E100 classes, we have developed a small database (300+ articles) on specific subject areas. DOC education staff is aware of this database and can guide students through accessing research on RACHEL computers. Other credit-bearing courses could have access to these materials. When students select their subjects for their research editorial, they can save related research to their flash drives; DOC staff is often able to help students print research materials.

The DOC is working on having JSTOR available for all educational institutions providing for-credit programming. We hope to have this resource available for students soon.
