This project is in its nascent stages, and we’re looking forward to seeing it grow. The information currently embedded in this project is in an early draft stage and will change over the coming months as project collaborators work together to reimagine this content. (If you’re encountering this because you’re an open education practitioner at UW-Madison, we’d love to be in touch!)

Welcome Connection and Collaboration! This book is intended to be a resource for anyone interested in authoring an Open Educational Resource (OER), teaching with Open Pedagogical practices, or just learning a bit more about either of those at UW-Madison. In this book, you will find a few chapters outlining what OER and Open Pedagogy is followed by a series of chapters each detailing OER projects from across campus (often with abridged interviews from the authors). Below are the main goals for this project.

An Evolving List of Project Goals

  1. To highlight a range of practices that promote open values and equitable, learner-centered pedagogy.
  2. To celebrate the work that folks are doing around open practices and open pedagogy at UW.
  3. To inspire and educate potential creators, collaborators, adopters, and other relevant parties.
