G9.2 Coordinator Visits
According to current UW-Madison policy, as stated on the Human Resources web page “Graduate Assistantship Policies and Procedures” (https://hr.wisc.edu/policies/gapp/), coordinators shall inform each TA at least twenty-four hours beforehand of their intention to make a first visit to the TA’s section. No prior notice is required for subsequent visits.
In the case of TAs with double section teaching assignments, it should be noted that, after having received notification from the coordinator regarding their first visit to the TA’s class, the TA must inform the coordinator in writing, at least one working day prior to the planned visit, if the TA wishes to be visited in the other section. It then remains at the coordinator’s discretion to visit either both sections or the one indicated by the TA The coordinator’s semester evaluation of the TA’s performance will take into account any and all visits.
