The American Democracy Educator’s Forum (ADEF) brings high school and middle school educators together to explore the principles of American political thought and the place of those principles in the ongoing practicce of American democracy.  ADEF participants read primary texts in the history of American political thought, engage in face-to-face seminar-style discussions, hear from scholars with expertise in American political thought, and participate throughout the year in online activities.  Along the way, they develop new curriculum to use in their classrooms.  This digital text includes readings and activities for ADEF 2016-2017, which focused on the Bill of Rights and drew on the National Constitution Center’s online Interactive Constitution.  It also includes curriculum developed by ADEF participants.
