Examples of the Tatar language, Kabardian language, Karachay-Balkar language, and Buryat language

In this exercise, you will listen to the following audio clips, which give you some information about languages in Tatarstan, Kabardino-Balkaria, and Buryatia. Below the clips you can find a documentation tool that you should use to take notes on what you hear in the clips. Each page in the tool is dedicated to a different place, and you can use the blue arrows to move between pages. On the last page you can download a summary of your notes and then send them to your teacher or print them out. You can then use these notes to complete the exercises below. An alternate way to take notes would be using this Google doc (make your own copy of it)

Буряад үнэн is a Buryat newspaper that has been publishing since 1921. Below you can see what the newspaper looked like at different points in its history. Based on what you learned above about the history of the writing system of the Buryat language, drag the pictures of the newspaper to the correct years.
