Words related to nationality and ethnicity usually follow one of several patterns. Two of these common patterns can be found in the words for American and Bulgarian.

The slideshow shows some well-known people who have roots in Tatarstan, Kabardino-Balkaria, or Buryatia. Each slide has a photo, the person’s name, profession, and some information about what nationality / ethnicity they are. Tell your partner the person’s ethnicity.
