Is there a “Russian” store in your city or your state? If you don’t know, search the web and find out!
Next, visit the store’s website or find their profile on Google Maps. If it’s not too far away, maybe you can visit the store in person? Your mission is to gather detailed information about the store:
- Location: Find out the exact address and phone number.
- Product Range: Explore the categories of products they offer. Look for food items, beverages, household goods, and cultural artifacts.
- Specialty Items: Identify unique or culturally significant products. You might find traditional foods like pelmeni and borscht, or items like samovars and matryoshkas.
- Customer Reviews: Read through customer reviews. What do customers appreciate about the store? Are there any common complaints? Do you notice any recurring themes in their feedback?
As you gather this information, take notes about your findings. Create a a short presentation in Russian detailing the store’s information, product highlights, and customer experiences. Share your findings with your classmates and be ready to answer their questions. Discuss what you found most surprising or interesting about the store and its offerings.
