Compliance Errors
NEW
- An I-9 was never completed for an employee, and they are actively working without a completed I-9.
- An employee has multiple I-9s on file when only one is necessary.
- To avoid this mistake, ensure you search HireRight thoroughly for an existing I-9 before initiating a new one.
- If an I-9 is found under the employee’s name, it must be opened and inspected to determine if the employee is the same person, and if the I-9 is valid to use for the position they are being hired for.
Common Errors: Navigate by Section
OLD–Compliance Errors–>confirm before deleting
- No I-9—an I-9 was never completed
- Duplicate I-9s (because the s/c/d does not search the system to see if the employee has an I-9 on file)
