Conferences: Meeting with Students about Their Writing

One-on-one conferences or meetings with students in which you focus specifically on their writing or their ideas for a writing assignment in your class have been shown to benefit student writers enormously.[1] Students learn more and feel more engaged by writing projects when they have opportunities to interact with teachers and peers during the writing process.[2]
