Dear Ms. Nelsen,

Thank you for taking the time to interview me this morning for the Macy’s Merchant Buying & Planning Summer Internship. It has been a dream of mine to work for Macy’s for quite some time, and having the opportunity to hear from you about why you love the company was incredibly inspiring. I especially enjoyed learning about how you have been able to move into different roles within Macy’s to determine the best fit for yourself.

As a junior in the Consumer Behavior & Marketplace Studies major at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Sales Associate at a local boutique, I am confident that my education and experience will allow me to grow and excel in this position. I am even more excited to join your team now that we have had a chance to discuss the role in greater detail.
