Connect with Your Extension Office

It is required you connect with your local Extension office.

Most of you already did this. Perhaps it was during the Foundations in Horticulture course. Or, it was an interview or other conversation with Extension staff.

This “connection” is very important. First, it identifies who will be your primary contact should you have questions or need support as a volunteer in the Master Gardener Program.

Secondly, this allows Extension staff an opportunity to get to know you and connect you local opportunities. It also allows us a brief moment with you to make sure the program is a right fit for you, and you are a right fit with the program.

Only the following counties are accepting new volunteers in 2021.

• Brown County
• Dane County
• Douglas County
• Dunn, Chippewa, and Eau Claire Counties
• Milwaukee, Waukesha Counties
• Pierce, St. Croix Counties
• Winnebago County
