18 ADD Capstone Certificate Students & Master’s-Only Courses

ADD Capstone Certificate (CC) students may request to enroll in one master’s-only course if:

  • the course will be taken during their final semester as a CC student,
  • they plan to apply to the master’s program, and
  • they have a 3.5 cumulative GPA or higher.

The courses will be limited to only PHARMACY or PHM SCI courses. 

  • ADD Capstone Certificate students can enroll in the following master’s-only courses:
    • PHARM 770, PHM SCI 754, PHM SCI 759, PHM SCI 761, PHM SCI 768
      • Note: Students may take the other capstone certificate course they haven’t taken to date (PHM SCI 751, PHM SCI 752, or PHM SCI 753).
      • Note: Capstone Certificate students may not enroll in PHM SCI 755, PHM SCI 756 PHM SCI 760, PHARM 771, BMI 541.
      • Note:  Taking a master’s-only course will be in addition to required capstone certificate courses. No course substitutions are permitted in fulfilling the capstone certificate curriculum requirements. You can find the required capstone certificate courses below:
  All capstone certificate students must take both of the following courses
PHM SCI 762: The Drug Development Process I
PHM SCI 763: The Drug Development Process II
  Capstone certificate students must take two of the following three courses
PHM SCI 751: Introduction to Regulatory Practice
PHM SCI 752: GxP (Good Practice): Working in a Regulated Environment
PHM SCI 753: Pharmaceutical Economics and Project Management

Approvals are made on a case-by-case basis. Additional factors that impact the program’s approval of these requests are:

  • the student’s previous academic performance in their certificate program
  • the student’s performance and engagement level in their prior certificate courses
