BC Open Textbook Accessibility Toolkit

The Accessibility Toolkit is a collaboration between BCcampus and CAPER-BC. The goal of the Accessibility Toolkit is to provide the resources needed so that each content creator, instructional designer, educational technologist, librarian, administrator, teaching assistant, etc. has the opportunity to create a truly open and accessible textbook. BCcampus Open Education Print-on-Demand Guide

The BCcampus Open Education Print-on-Demand Guide is a practical manual on the what, why, and how of creating your own hard copy textbook of any openly licensed textbook found in the B.C. Open Textbook Collection. However, these same steps can be used to create a print-on-demand textbook from other collections providing you have access to the correct file types. This guide will continue to be updated as new information, practices and processes are developed.

Faculty OER Toolkit

The Faculty OER Toolkit is an information resource about and guide to adapting and adopting Open Educational Resources. Included are definitions and examples, information about Creative Commons licensing, and tips on how to adapt and/or adopt OER for classroom use.

B.C. Open Textbook OER Student Toolkit: An Advocacy Guide for Student Leaders

UW-Madison’s Pressbooks 101 Guide

Pressbooks 101 teaches the basics of getting started with Pressbooks. Many of the lessons here have grown out of topics covered at our monthly Pressbooks users group meetings. 

BCcampus Pressbooks Guide

This BC Campus Pressbooks Guide was created to provide information specific to the creation and adaptation of open textbooks and other open educational resources (OER) using the authoring platform, Pressbooks. It is intended to act as an adjunct to the very comprehensive Pressbooks Userguide. Specifically, this guide addresses the issues faced by authors of open textbooks, most of whom are using versions of Pressbooks for which the PressBooks Textbook plugin has been installed.

Pressbooks for EDU Guide

The Pressbooks EDU Guide was created by the Pressbooks team and details how to use the many features that are specific to academic publishing. It has excellent walkthroughs. 

The Pressbooks Userguide

The Pressbooks Userguide is a resource intended for general Pressbooks use cases. It is well-maintained and comprehensive.
