- The minimum degree credit requirements for Human Ecology are:
- Masters: 32 credits
- MFA: 51 credits
- PhD: 51 credits
- The minimum residence credit requirements for Human Ecology are:
- Masters: 16 credits
- MFA: 31 credits
- PhD: 32 credits
- The minimum graduate coursework requirement indicates that at least 50% of degree coursework must be completed in courses numbered 700 or above; and/or in courses numbered 300–699 specifically designed for graduate students with the Graduate 50% attribute (G50%), in which graduate students are assessed separately from undergraduate students.
- Prior Coursework from graduate credits earned at other institutions, undergraduate credits earned at other institutions or UW-Madison, or credits earned as a University Special student at UW-Madison may be counted toward the degree with program approval and within the maximum credits allowed.
