CBFE Degree Requirements
The Ph.D. in Human Ecology: Consumer Behavior and Family Economics (CBFE) requires a minimum credit requirement of 51 credits total. The minimum residence credit requirement is 32 credits. At least 26 credits (half of the 51 total credits) must be completed in graduate-level coursework with the G50% coursework attribute designation. The overall GPA requirement is 3.0. In addition, CBFE students who are not designated as dissertators, should be enrolled in at least 9 credits per semester to be eligible for departmental funding. Independent studies can be included to reach this minimum enrollment threshold.
