DS PhD Credit Requirement
The PhD in Human Ecology: Design Studies (DS) requires a minimum of 51 credits of graduate study. At least 32 credits must be taken as a graduate student at UW-Madison. At least 26 credits must be numbered 700 or above or have the graduate coursework (G50%) attribute. The credits will vary depending on the design research pathway or the design history pathway. The credits may include preparation courses, Interdisciplinary Human Ecology (InterHE) courses, core courses, a major area of specialization, a doctoral minor, and independent study/research and thesis credits.
