Logunov describes a typical survey question that has been asked of Russians in different periods in Russian and Soviet history. Listen to the audio clip above of his description of that survey question. Then try to guess what historical figures make up the most popular answers to that question by making a list on a sheet of paper. By watching the clip, you will learn some of those names, and you will learn more later in the lesson when you see graphs based on polls of public opinion. You will check the names that you have written down against these two sources.
