A conjunction is a part of speech that connects words, phrases, clauses or even sentences.

Examples:

a) Hannah anasoma. Hannah anasikiza muziki.
Join the two sentences – Hannah anasoma hali anasikiza muziki/ Hannah anasoma huku akisikiza muziki. Hannah is reading as she listens to music/Hannah is reading while listening to music.

b) Daudi atakuja tu. Amechelewa.
Ingawa Daudi amechelewa, atakuja tu. Although Daudi is late, he will still come.

c) Amiin ni Muislamu. Hali chakula kwa sababu amefunga.
Amiin ni Muislamu, ndio maana hali chakula kwa sababu amefunga. Amiin is Muslim, that’s why he is not eating because he is fasting.
