  2. Umalaika – angelicness. The girls feel privileged.
  3. Pepesuka – sway/swing
  4. Usingizi ulimchukua – lit. sleep took her – she fell asleep. Usingizi ulimruka – lit. sleep escaped from her – sleep evaded her.
  5. Mkwaruzo (n.) – scratch/scraping
  6. Kidole cha pete – lit. ring finger – marriage
  7. Makengeza – squinted eyes
  8. Kutia fora – do well/progress/flourish
  9. Mbuni – ostrich
  10. Somo – namesake
  11. Kaza kamba – put more effort
  12. tengamaa/tengemaa – be at peace/settle down
