Objective: The objective of this activity is to help learners identify and correct common word usage errors in the Yoruba language, enhancing their language skills and communication accuracy.
Instructions:
1. Presentation of Common Errors
Display the handouts with sentences that contain common word usage errors. For example:

bọ oju | wẹ oju | to have a wash |
ṣan ẹran | fọ ẹran | to wash the meat |

2. Discuss the errors in each sentence and explain the correct usage with the mentor.
3. The mentor makes a set of sentences containing word usage errors. The learner needs to identify the errors and discuss the correct forms. Encourage learners to use Yoruba-English dictionaries if needed.
4. The mentor can assign participants a set of sentences to correct on their own as homework. Encourage them to practice using the correct word forms and note any challenges they encounter.
