Final Audio/Writing Lesson Using Conservation Vocabulary

How much have you learned about conservation and the environment in Nepal? Now is the time to test your knowledge. Refer back to the chapter on Environmental Terms and review/learn the terms provided below. Following, you will find a video recording about a tiger conservation project outside of Nepal’s Protected Areas, in Nepal’s Community Forests. The video is less than 5 minutes in length and uses a mix of grammatical structures, colloquialisms, and technical conservation vocabulary to test your (and my) skills!

Listen and watch the presentation and attempt a line by line translation. You can double check with your language mentor. Then, try to write some sentences using the vocabulary below. Environmental Conservation, while a niche research area, is of great importance politically and culturally in Nepal. You will not regret learning about the protection of the country’s national symbol (the Royal Bengal Tiger) and having some advanced vocabulary to converse with.
