Intermediate Luganda Standards

Intermediate Luganda learners should be able to:

• Make travel arrangements in Luganda;

• Describe leisure activities;

• Give and follow instructions;

• Express and defend an opinion on an issue;

• Express dreams and hopes;

• Write simple texts on familiar topics;

• Discuss basic political positions and activities;

• Write an official letter;

• Translate documents from Luganda to English and vice-versa;

• Highlight the main points of a newspaper article, news item, etc;

• Read and answer questions on short Luganda narratives;

• Discuss cultural topics such as marriage, religion, dances, music, etc;
