Past Tense Form

Learn how to change the verb form for past tense usage, then put these rules to use in the practice below!

Number of consonants Rule EX Past form

reverse the vowels (a<->e)

3 (vowel in middle) same as above & change vowel to a yshuf shaf
4+ replace y with a

(exception        ysafer -> safer)

yshtaghal ashtaghal
4+ (ends w/ a ي) replace y with a

replace ي (i) with a

yshteri ashtera
