Family relationships

This lesson includes a gapped text exercise based on three online resources that approach the topic with different skills:

  • Theoisback Youtube Channel (Lesson 12: FAMILY MEMBERS)
    • Listening – Listen to the video and hear the pronunciations and explanations of each relationship term
  • Learn Entry – Kinyarwanda Vocabulary (Family Relationship names)
    • Reading – Read through the list of vocabulary. It will help to keep this page open to reference during the lesson because it is hard to memorize right away.
  • The Peace Corps Trainee Manual for Kinyarwanda (Topic 3)
    • Writing/practice – Try to fill in the blanks on III Practice exercise at the bottom of page 26 (fill in the blanks on the family tree).
