Gambian Wolof (EC)

Potential Memory Place

This assignment was very interesting to me! I’m not sure if it would be very useful for me particularly, but for people who learn visually, I think the concept of using images/a memory to help recall things is very smart. Here is my take on a memory place.

*Mnemonic images: a device such as a pattern of letters, ideas, or associations that assists in remembering something, for example, Richard Of York Gave Battle In Vain for the colors of the spectrum (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet)

The first thought that came to my mind was social media, because of how prevalent it is throughout my day, and how each of these examples could potentially remind me of something I’m learning in Wolof. Here is a list of how my “map” works in my mind. 🙂
