Sentence Variation Practice

This lesson will use resources previously documented in this Gambian Wolof Pressbook chapter to benefit the specific language skill of writing. Many of the sentence topics have been discussed in previous chapters like the verb to want (buga), location words like school and home, and foods. There will be 3 sentences that will serve as examples, from which you can make new variated sentences, using the same structure. The words in red are the only parts of the sentences that need to change, from English to Wolof. The translations will be avaible in a word bank under each prompt.

1. Mangeh dem ligay. –> I am going to work.
   1. Mangeh dem ____ –> I am going to school.
   2. Mangeh dem ____ –> I am going home.
   3. Mangeh dem ____  —> I am going to the hospital.

3. Dama buga leka, dama heef. –> I want to eat, I am hungry.
