This lesson is focused on improving listening skills, writing skills, and expanding vocabulary knowledge for intermediate Swahili learners.

Online Swahili Dictionary:

• Learners can use the online dictionary to search the meaning of unfamiliar vocabulary words they may hear while listening to the video.

SwahiliPod Listening Lesson:

• Learners will listen to the video to complete the listening activity.

Part 1: Watch the video until it reaches 2 minutes and 30 seconds. 

• As you listen, write down new vocabulary.

Part 2: Use the online dictionary to find the definitions of the new vocabulary. 

Part 3: Watch the video a second time and answer the questions listed below. 

• Ni kwa mpangilio gani watatembea jijini?
• Je, kwa nini waliamua kutembelea maeneo kwa utaratibu huo?

Part 4: Choose one of the four destinations discussed – makumbusho (museum), boma (castle), or tazamo (observatory) and write a paragraph in Swahili about a time you visited your selected destination and what you saw on your visit.
