The University of Kansas has an extensive library of Swahili lessons that range from introductory lessons on greetings and basic vocabulary to more advanced grammar lessons. The website is also a good resource for health vocabulary as some of the lessons include phrases and vocabulary related to body parts, diseases, etc.

SwahiliPod101 provides video lessons on a variety of topics with lessons ranging in length. Some lessons are specifically designed to assist learners in improving their listening and speaking skills through interactive activities.

BBC Swahili provides access to audio, video, and written news resources on a variety of topics but mainly focused on the African continent and East Africa specifically. This resource could be useful for my learning specifically as some of the news reports may be focused on health topics.

The textbook by Hinnebusch and Mirza provides a good foundation for learning Swahili grammar through lessons that are focused on improving speaking, reading, and writing.
Mutembei, Aldin Kaizilege. (2009). Ukimwi katika fasihi ya kiswahili, 1982-2006. Dar es Salaam. Chuo Kikuu cha Dar es Salaam.
This book is written in Swahili and discusses the different portrayals of HIV/AIDS in Kiswahili literature. While it is an older resource, it could be useful for understanding how an illness like HIV/AIDS is depicted using Swahili compared to English.
